Meet Amie.

Amie Austin has spent years helping others prepare for and heal from surgical procedures. She understands the physical, mental, and emotional toll that any surgery can take — whether it’s urgent or planned, minor or invasive, elective or non-elective.

Born with a heart for hospitality, Amie is a caregiver in every sense of the word. As a wife, mother, friend and professional, she’s managed the postoperative recovery process countless times, following procedures in clinics and hospitals across the region. In recent years, Amie has dedicated much of her time caring for her own daughter, who was born with special needs and has undergone more than 20 different inpatient and outpatient procedures.

Amie is now combining her passion for tending to others’ needs and her intimate knowledge of the healing process with her “Super Host” hospitality.

No matter the patient or the procedure, her goal is always the same: to ensure a comfortable and speedy recovery by providing the highest standard of personalized care.

Testimonials

“I absolutely loved my stay at The Wallace. I felt very safe and didn’t worry about anything. From the time I got there until the time I left, Amie was there for everything I needed. She truly has a very caring heart. THE BED is amazing and has a beautiful view of the river! The bed being adjustable was very helpful when I needed to be propped up to sleep. It was like sleeping on a cloud. Amie is very knowledgeable about what to expect before and after surgery. It was my first major surgery and she made me feel at ease.”

Nurses constantly care for other people — but sometimes, we need someone to care for us! When I underwent my own medical procedure, I called Amie. She offered a clean, spa-like environment with just the right amount of medical touches to assure all my needs were met. I couldn’t have been luckier to have found such an organized individual willing to go that extra mile for my recovery. I would highly recommend The Wallace for post-op recovery care. There is no greater value than knowing you are in caring, competent hands.”
